AETHELX AI ("we", "us") helps you protect your digital safety. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how we handle it. We keep it simple and honest.
What we collect
- Email you submit for monitoring: If you sign up for breach monitoring, we store your email so we can check it against breach databases and alert you.
- Account details: If you create an account or join the waitlist, we store your name and email.
- Emails/links you check: When you use the email or link checker, that input is sent to a trusted third-party database (see below) to perform the check. We do not permanently store one-off checks.
- Passwords: We never receive your passwords. Password checks happen entirely in your browser using k-anonymity — only a partial, irreversible hash leaves your device.
Why we collect it
- To run the safety checks you request.
- To monitor your email and send you alerts when new breaches appear.
- To contact you about your account, waitlist, or important service updates.
Third-party services we use
To provide our tools, limited data is shared with these trusted services strictly to perform the check:
- HaveIBeenPwned (Pwned Passwords): partial password hashes only.
- XposedOrNot: email breach lookups.
- URLhaus (abuse.ch): link safety lookups.
- Supabase: secure database for your account and monitoring data.
- Resend: to send you alert and account emails.
What we do NOT do
- We do not sell your data to anyone.
- We do not store or see your passwords.
- We do not send spam. Alerts are sent only when something relevant happens.
Your rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDP), you can ask us to access, correct, or delete your data at any time. To stop monitoring or delete your data, email hello@aethelx.com and we'll remove it.
Data security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data. However, no system is 100% secure — we're honest about that. We reduce risk; we can't promise perfection.
Honest limitation
AETHELX AI reduces your risk and keeps you informed. It cannot guarantee complete safety, and our checks depend on third-party databases that may not be exhaustive.
